The Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake

Since 1947

Most local residents hear the name Rotary and they think of the fourth of July fireworks show and the barbecue picnic that we put on annually. The truth be told, The Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake is also responsible for Veterans Park, The Dental Screening program, The Santa Program, The Eagle of Excellence Awards, The Foreign Student Exchange Program, The Big Bear Idol Competition, numerous college scholarship awards, Interact Club (Big Bear High School), Youthact (Middle School), and Earlyact (Elementary Schools).  Some other things you might see our local rotarians participation in are Oktoberfest,  Family Fun Night, The Big Bear Marathon, High School Senior Graduation traffic control, and of course financial support of many benevolent organizations too many to list. The Code that we live by is “Service Above Self” and we have been doing that  in this community since 1947.

The Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake is part of a world wide organization “Rotary International” that also emphasizes “Service Above Self.” This world wide network is responsible for ending the Polio epidemic around the world. No kidding! Our local area club has been involved internationally with many endeavors from digging water wells in Africa and India to purchasing fire trucks and medical supplies for impoverished mexican villages.

We are a group of about 100 professional men and women who are highly motivated in serving our community and in serving the less fortunate communities of other countries. We are proud Americans and “The Rotary Club of Big Bear Lake”.
